Description
The St. John putter is the second C. CARNAHAN putter to feature a plumber's neck hosel. As discussed with the C. CARNAHAN Broadway Putter, the plumber's neck has a slight offset which helps you address the ball correctly and assure a straight and smooth backstroke, resulting in more made putts.
Its classic cavity-back design provides a heel-toe weighted balance found in most putters, making it a great fit for golfers of all skill levels. This balance reduces skidding at impact, giving you the ideal roll on your putt. If you are looking for a complete putter with a traditional look and updated technologies, this is the putter for you.
It also offers a limited Edition CC pattern CNC milled face. A CNC milled face produces a crisp feel, while coming off the face with authority. The St. John was created with bermuda grass and sunshine in mind. It’s 4 degree’s of loft gives the ball a jump start at contact, allowing the ball to begin rolling on the correct line.
About Chris Carnahan
The C. CARNAHAN putter line was launched this year. It represents a collection of tour-weighted putters, milled from a 304 stainless steel and finished in a dark gray melonite head.
The idea behind the design was to create the perfect putter for players seeking performance using the most up-to-date technology. All of his putters will provide an improved feel and control, which will help save strokes on the green.
Chris Caranhan is the mastermind behind all the clubs in the C. CARNAHAN and CC family. He joined the team after his time on the professional tour with a vision to craft and design a putter that was affordable and up to the quality and craftsmanship to the equipment he had access to while on tour. Herbert Toh rated this product on 11/06/09 I live in a warm climate, and the putting surfaces around here are bermuda grass, so I figured I give this putter a try. I knew I could send it back if it doesn't work for me, but now I will never let it go. This putter is perfect for my kind of pendulum stroke, very balanced and very true. It also has a great feel to it. I don't consider it expensive, just compare it to the big brands out there that cost a lot more for the same quality. I'm very happy!
Rick rated this product on 09/09/09 I went and did it. I decided to drop my money on a relativley high priced product from a Pinemeadow Golf and am I glad I did! The first thing I learned is for me, I needed a milled face putter all along and secondly, my putts were so much better the day I first used the C Carnahan St John putter than my girlfriend made a comment about the obvious improvement. I have always lined my putts up pretty well but the key to this putter is the balance and the absence of an insert. This is a world class putter for sure. I found that my distance became MUCH better after I got to know this putter. I had a hard time judging distance with my White Hot due to the insert. I was falling short a lot. Not anymore. great putter! Give it a shot.
Ben Auten rated this product on 08/18/09 Do yourself and favor and spend the $ to upgrade to any of Chris's line. This putter in particular replaced an original Scotty Cameron from Titleist circa 1995. I won't go back and look forward to everything coming from Chris Carnahan in the future. I first met Chris at U of O in 1999 as we were soon to be teammates on the men's golf team. Chris over the years has taken his style of success on the golf course and turned it into classic, but player-friendly golf equipment for every level of player. Grab a putter from his line and run to your nearest course to tee it up and watch the putts fall!
