Description
The latest improved redesign of a wide sole iron set is here replacing the older Acer series. The Excel High Launch (HL) Irons are designed for the mid to high handicapper looking to improve their game, especially in those hard to hit lower irons. The larger sole and wide undercut channel enables any player to get the ball up quickly with ease with maximum forgiveness. Additionally, the lower irons also gain the luxury of having higher lofts than norm in the 3, 4 and 5 irons making them easier to hit.

- Built standard with high quality Pinemeadow steel shaft from Apollo®, a 125 gram shaft with a low to mid kick point. Also available with our standard low-torque Pinemeadow graphite shaft from Aldila® for only $7.50 per shaft.

Write a Reviewmiguel reviewed this product on 11/27/06 i have had these irons for over a year now and they are awesome!!! i am a short guy and was having a hard time with off the shelf clubs being to long. i ordered this set with 1inch minus and they fit just right. i have shaved about 12 strokes. the only thing i wish pinemeadow would add is the Winn G8 grips to the option list. thats the only change i made to the clubs. i recommend the clubs to everyone i talk too.

Alex reviewed this product on 08/18/06 I received my irons about 2 weeks ago and have played several rounds with them. I'm coming from Big Bertha '96 irons, and let me say, these are a great upgrade. These irons are built solidly, hit great, feel great, and are overall the best irons I've ever owned. I've noticed 1 or 2 strokes lower score, so I'm happy!
Eric G. reviewed this product on 06/29/06 After reading the various testimonials on this site, I decided that I couldn't go wront to buy a complete set for under $200, and I already loved the Big Bertha irons I hit on demo day. DON'T DOUBT WHAT YOU ARE READING HERE. THESE CLUBS ARE FANTASTIC. I went out and shot my best 9 of the season and best 18 of the season immediately with my first use of these clubs. I didn't gain any distance, but the feel, accuracy, and ability to get the ball HIGH in the air is what I was looking for. I'll never spend big money on clubs again. I'll be back for a set for my wife soon. Thanks Pinemeadow.
Rip reviewed this product on 06/07/06 After a dozen rounds with these clubs I am even more impressed with them.My score has dropped from 100 to 90 since I started using the Excels. As for what your friends think, dont worry , as your game improves they wont give you any grief. This is a great deal for anyone who wants new clubs. Well worth the money.
